New Bedding Sets

With Thanksgiving a day away, I thought I should write about my next color today.  I don't go out shopping on black Friday, but thought I would get this next color posted before the holiday.  I added some really nice comforter sets and duvet cover sets to my website.  I am going to talk about the color gray today, because one of the duvet cover sets that I added, has a white background and gray elm leafs.  It will look stunning in any bedroom!

Gray can be a very active color and Native Americans associate the color gray with friendship. Gray is also the symbol for security,  dependability and maturity. It connotes responsibility and conservative practicality.  Gray is a true neutral color and can have a cooling effect when placed next to other more vibrant colors. It has a stabilizing effect, making vibrant colors stand out while muting their vibration.  Almost any other color goes with gray, and the depending on the colors added, will depend on the statement you make.  For example, a deep red with gray gives a bold kind of statement, whereas a soft yellow creates a whole different feel, a soft feel.  That is what's nice about the color gray, you can change the look of a room, by just changing the accessories.

Good morning everyone!  Well this is going to be a short work week for many, with Thanksgiving just days away.  With the internet so popular now a days, I often wonder how many people still get up at the crack of dawn on black Friday, to find deals.  I have to say, I was never one of those people to stand in long lines to save a buck or two.  I am one to go shopping on days that aren't so popular, and beat the crowd, so to speak.  If you are like me, maybe sitting in front of the computer, looking for deals is more your speed.

Well, I am on to my next color.  Today I chose the color brown.  I personally love this color, because I love earth tone colors in my home.  The color brown brings an orderly feeling to any home.  Because brown is the color of the earth, it is associated with the material side of life.  Brown gives a feeling of solidity and is a very stabilizing color.

Pink Bedding Sets for Girls

I still think that pink is the favorite color among girls, tweens and teens.  What do you think?  I find that many of my teen bedding sets that sell, have some sort of pink color in them.  It goes without saying that the younger girls almost always pick out pink.

The Meaning of a Green Bedding Set

Well, I am a little late in talking about my next color.  I live in Connecticut, where there has been no power, heat or internet.  All I have seen over the last 5 days is l--o--n--g gas lines, some 40 cars deep!  Who would have thought that first, we would have a snow storm the end of October, and secondly, that 5 days after the storm, there would still be thousands and thousands of people still without power.  The rumor is that 99% of people will have their power back by midnight on Sunday, will see!
I chose to talk about the color green today, which represents the color of our natural surroundings.  Green is considered the color of peace and ecology.  Since I have been looking at white snow, which in my opinion, is too early to be looking at in October, I would like to focus on seeing green outside again!  Did you know that green occupies more space in the spectrum visible to the human eye than most colors, and is second only to blue as a favorite color.  Green is the pervasive color in the natural world, making it an ideal backdrop in interior design, because we are so used to seeing it all around us.  The natural greens, from lime green to forest, are seen as refreshing and tranquil, with a natural balance of cool and warm (yellow and blue) undertones.
